# How can I add new fields to my customers/vendors?

You can add as many as **Ten** custom fields for your customers/vendors to specify any additional information you want to.

*   Click the **Gear icon** on the top right. Go to **Preferences**.
*   Select the **‘Contacts’** sub tab where you’ll find the option to add upto 10 custom fields.
*   Create a new custom field by clicking **\+ New Custom Field**. After entering the required details, save the form.

You can edit the custom fields you’ve created, or remove them anytime by going to preferences.
