A default rate is a mileage rate that is created without specifying a date. This is applied to mileage expenses that are recorded before the initial start date.
To add a default rate:
- Switch to Admin View.
- Click the icon in the top right corner.
- Go to Policies under Users and Control.
- Click the policy for which you want to set up a default rate.
- Navigate to Mileage.
- Click + New Rate and don’t specify a date next to the amount.
- Click Save.
