# Why am I unable to see the MTD Income Tax option in my organisation?

MTD for Income Tax is available only for organisations whose Business Type is set to **Sole Trader** or **Landlord**.

To verify or update your business type:

*   Go to _Settings_.
*   Select **Profile** under _Organisation_.
*   Set the **Business Type** to **Sole Trader** or **Landlord**.
*   Click **Save**.

After updating the business type, go to _Settings > Taxes_ to [configure](https://www.zoho.com/uk/books/help/mtd-it/making-tax-digital.html#enable) MTD for Income Tax.
