[Back](./) # Why are items not shown when I export invoices as PDF? If you are using non-English characters (like Chinese) in your invoice, ensure that the template you’re using supports these characters for it to be displayed when you export or print the invoice. This way, they’ll be displayed properly when you print the invoice or export it as PDF. To opt for a template that supports non-English characters: * Go to **Settings** in the top right corner of the page. * Select **PDF Templates** under _Customisation_. * In the _Templates_ sidebar, select **Invoices**. * Hover over an existing template and click **Edit** to modify it. * In the _Edit Template_ page, go to **General > Font** , and pick your preferred font from the PDF font dropdown. * Each font will be displayed along with the language/languages it supports, helping you pick the right one. * Click **Refresh Preview** to check if the items are displayed on your invoice’s template properly. Once previewed, click **Save** in the top right corner of the page. Now, you will be able to view the items when exporting invoices as PDF.
