Puvi's angular cut is inspired by our planet Earth's axial tilt. Earth's axis of rotation is tilted at an angle of23.5 degreesaway from the perpendicular plane of its orbit around the sun. This angular tilt governs the warming strength of the sun's energy and this is how we would like our new typeface to empower Zoho's brand.
Our new font, Puvi, means 'Earth' in Tamil - the native language of the state of Tamil Nadu (South India) where Zoho was founded.
As a company, we have always believed in staying grounded and true to our roots. Our culture has always been centered on the principles of humility, trust, and unwavering dedication to quality.
Puvi is an ode to the continuous symbolism of Zoho's down-to-earth ethos over the years.
