Trademark Usage Guidelines

Introduction

Zoho has built a strong reputation through its trademarks, logos, and brand elements. These Trademark Usage Guidelines are intended to clarify proper use of Zoho's Trademarks and ensure brand consistency and prevent misuse. If you intend to use any of Zoho's Trademarks, you must follow these guidelines and any applicable trademark license or partner agreement. These guidelines are intended for general public use and apply unless you have a separate written agreement (such as a partnership, reseller, or trademark license agreement) that states otherwise. If such an agreement exists, its terms will control where they differ from these guidelines.

“Zoho's Trademarks” refers to all names, logos, icons, taglines, product names, and other brand features owned by Zoho Corporation Private Limited and/or its affiliates, whether registered or unregistered, in any jurisdiction worldwide.

Attribution when using Zoho's Trademarks

When using Zoho's Trademarks, you must include a clear attribution notice. This notice must appear in a conspicuous location, such as website footers, legal notices, or product documentation. The attribution notice can be as follows: "Zoho and (list any additional trademarks you use in alphabetical order) are trademarks of Zoho Corporation Private Limited and/or its affiliates."

To help you understand what you can and can’t do with Zoho's Trademarks, we have compiled this non-exhaustive guide outlining the dos and don’ts.

Dos

  • Use Zoho's Trademarks properly as adjectives, not nouns or verbs. Example: “Zoho CRM software” and not "Can you Zoho Mail that to me?"

  • Don’t use Zoho's Trademarks on physical goods, product packaging, promotional merchandise (e.g., t-shirts, mugs), or marketing collateral without prior written authorization.
  • Don’t register domain names, company names, or usernames (including social media handles) that incorporate or are confusingly similar to Zoho's Trademarks.

    • Sale of tobacco or alcohol to underage individuals
  • Don’t use Zoho's Trademarks in a way that Zoho, in its sole discretion, deems misleading, disparaging, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate. Legitimate fair use (e.g., criticism or commentary) is not restricted where allowed by law. Don’t use Zoho's Trademarks in paid advertising, including search engine ads or sponsored posts, unless explicitly authorized in writing by Zoho.

Reservation of rights

Zoho expressly reserves all rights related to its trademarks. Use of Zoho’s Trademarks must comply with these guidelines and does not grant you any ownership or license rights beyond those granted in writing. Zoho may revoke or modify permission to use its trademarks at any time in its sole discretion and reserves the right to take appropriate legal action against misuse. Zoho’s trademark rights exist globally and are protected under the laws of many countries, regardless of whether a particular mark is registered in a given jurisdiction.
