Recurring Payments Limit for Indian Customers (RBI Guidelines): 

As per the guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), recurring payments are currently only supported for amounts up to ₹15,000. This means that for any subscription or service renewal exceeding ₹15,000, recurring payments cannot be processed under current regulations. 

Payment Settlement Delay: 

For recurring payments processed through Razorpay in India, please note that the transaction may take 2 to 3 business days to settle. This delay is often due to response times from the bank involved in the transaction. During this period, you will not be able to initiate any new transactions (such as adding services or upgrading your plan) until the pending recurring payment transaction is either successfully processed or marked as a failure. 

Impact of Pending Transactions: 

While your recurring payment transaction is in pending status, any attempt to perform additional transactions (like purchasing add-ons or changing plans) will be temporarily blocked. This is precautionary measure to ensure the current payment is successfully processed before any other changes are made. 

Upgrading a Recurring Account: 

In the case of upgrading your existing recurring subscription (for example, upgrading to a higher plan or adding additional features), the transaction will also be in pending status, similar to the renewal process. However, the difference is that we will provision the upgraded license immediately so you can access the new features or plan. 

If the payment fails during the settlement process, the system will revert the upgraded license to the previous plan until the payment is successfully completed. This ensures that you are not without access to your services while the payment issue is being resolved. 

Important Notes: 

• Recurring payments in India are limited to a maximum value of ₹15,000 as per RBI regulations.
• There may be a 2-3 day delay in payment processing, and customers cannot perform any other transactions until the status of the pending payment is resolved.
• Upgrades to recurring accounts are provisioned immediately but will be reverted if the payment fails.
