Touch builds a strong online presence with Zoho Sites

The company

Marketing, more often than not, is viewed suspiciously by those who perceive it as being solely manipulation to sell things or services that may not be worth it. And when a business isn't doing that, they may not have the big bucks to market themselves. Touch, a full-service marketing and public relations firm, aims to change that.

"Marketing focused on ethics brings greater awareness to motivate change, unity, and progress—or at least helps consumers find and connect with a product or service they actually need."

- Chardonnay Graham, Founder, Touch

This belief drove Chardonnay to establish Touch in January 2015. Her company offers digital marketing, event planning, and public relations—among a variety of other services—providing clients with holistic marketing solutions.

Touch's primary customers are medium to large nonprofits and for-profits (startups and small businesses) that aim to promote resources, events, campaigns, or programs that impact community or business development.

The Challenge

Not everyone can easily translate their ideas and vision into a website. Especially when they are just taking the first step into the entrepreneurial world, there may be other business conundrums to resolve.

The first challenge, therefore, was to build a sound business website with little to no coding. Chardonnay was hunting for a simple, user-friendly website builder. The second challenge was to find a solution that would fit a shoestring budget.

The Solution

When Chardonnay began digging to find a solution for her business website needs, she stumbled upon Zoho Sites. She read multiple review columns on various web builders and found Zoho Sites when it was still in its beta phase, nearly a decade back. Yet, she felt all her website needs were met by Zoho Sites; it was convenient to use, fit her budget, and integrated well with other applications.

"This business website was the first full site I designed and developed. I had learned some basic web design back in college, but Zoho sure made it easy compared to the coding I initially learned."

She added how she found it useful that other tools, such as Zoho Forms and Zoho Bookings, integrated with her website, making it easier to nurture prospects.

Benefits and ROI

Chardonnay insisted that having a website ensured her initiative had a strong online presence.

"Often, other organizations have listed my business in their directories, and having a website to link to helps potential clients find us."

- Chardonnay Graham, Founder, Touch

She indicated how that usually means more traffic and new customers. Every time Touch launches a campaign on social media or gains media coverage, it only increases the traffic to their website and results in more conversions.

Looking forward

Touch plans to be more active in the community and build a greater presence online. Chardonnay concluded that, eventually, community members will have access to a Sites website portal with exclusive tools, resources, and discounts.

"The Zoho Sites member portal will play a big role in bringing this to fruition."
