What do you mean by sync?

PowerPoint saves your presentations locally in your machine. To deliver engaging presentations with ShowTime, your audience has to view the presentation on their devices. This requires you to make your presentation available on the ShowTime cloud. When you sync, latest version of your PowerPoint slides are uploaded to the ShowTime cloud.

Is my presentation publicly viewable after I sync ?

No. Its completely private and can be accessed only by you.

Why should I sync to deliver a presentation using ShowTime?

You must sync your presentations before delivering, so the audience can join your talk using the audience key.

Note: By default, you will be prompted to sync your presentation before you begin.

Why does it prompt me to sync when I modify the content?

Every time you make changes to your slides, you will be requested to sync with the ShowTime cloud. This ensures that the latest changes will be updated.

I have already synced my presentation, why does it prompt me to re-sync again?

When you import a .PPT file into the plug-in you will be prompted to convert it to .PPTX. This is because .PPT files are in an older format which are not supported by ShowTime. The plug-in converts your file to the latest .PPTX format. During the process of conversion, Microsoft modifies the data. This prompts you to re-sync your presentation.
