Why should I set an join key?
An join key lets the attendee connect to your session. Once you set the join key, they can connect using their mobile devices or laptops.
What happens after I launch the presentation?
Once you launch the presentation, the instruction slide will be the first slide projected to your audience. Instruct your audience to connect using the key. They can use either their web browser or the ShowTime Viewer app to connect.
How can I present?
The plug-in comes with an enhanced presenter view. This means you have dual screens that give you an extended version of your presentation.This includes slide notes, a view of the next slide, and other interactive tools.
How is this different from PowerPoint's built-in presenter view?
When you deliver a presentation using ShowTime, you gain added features such as live engagement levels, questions from your audience, likes for each slide, and detailed analytics.
Is normal slide show view supported?
No, we do not support the normal slide show view.
Where can I see my audience engagement level?
You can see the audience engagement level at the bottom right corner of the customized ShowTime presenter view. The meter indicates the current engagement level of the audience.
How can I project and answer questions from the audience?
- When your audience raises questions, you get a notification on the question tab.
- You can view the questions and can choose if you want to project it to your audience
- Click on Project, so your audience can view the questions and answer them right away.
Note: You can also the choose to save the questions for later and answer them after the session.
Will a locally stored video play on my presentation?
Yes, a locally stored video will play without a glitch. Additionally, all your animations, transitions, animated 3D charts, and smart arts will remain intact.
What will happen when my WiFi gets disconnected?
When your WiFi or network gets disconnected, you will still be able to present without any interruption. However, your viewers will not be able to follow along as you present.
How are animations and transitions shown for the audience on their devices?
When projecting your slides on the screen your animation and transitions will remain intact. Your audience however, will only view them as 'appear' animation on their devices.
Can my audience view all the slides before I complete my session?
As the presenter, you have the power to control what your audience can see in the presentation. Your audience can only view your previous and current slides.
How can I get instant feedback from the audience?
After you finish delivering your presentation, click > Exit. A rating pop-up window will appear on your audience's devices.
Ask your audience to rate your presentation and give you feedback.
Where do I view my completed talks and the analytics for my presentation?
To view completed talks follow the below steps:
- Click the ShowTime tab on the toolbar.
- Click on Completed Talks.
To view analytics follow the below steps:
- ShowTime gives you analytics for each Completed Talk.
- Click the ShowTime tab on the toolbar.
- Click on Completed Talks.
- Choose a Talk and you will be redirected to the web.
Note: Once you are redirected to your ShowTime web account, you can see the analytics for the selected talk.
