Enhancements

You now have the option to configure bi-weekly accrual periods when setting up a fixed time off policy, and choose whether employees accrue leave at the start or end of each period.

Auto-schedule option for quick and seamless scheduling (in beta release)

Features

Automatically assign all unpublished open shifts to employees in just a few minutes. The auto-schedule runs based on employee roles, availability, and the set optimization priority (fairness or labor cost). This saves you time when scheduling work hours for large teams with many open shifts.

Export timesheets with more specific filters

Enhancements

Specify the timesheet information you want to export with filters like duration, schedules, positions, employees, job site, and approval status. This is an upgrade from the platform's previous option to export timesheets in XLSX or CSV format with password protection.

Introducing time off accrual and balances

Features

You can now create and configure time off policies—like unlimited, manual, fixed, or worked-hours based—and assign them to employees. Implementing time off policies for your employees allows them to accumulate leave hours based on their assigned policy.

Admins can now view an employee's total leave accrual under the Balances tab in the Time Off menu. Get a consolidated view of the employee's PTO use, scheduled hours, and available hours for future time off requests. You can also see time off balances when submitting, editing, or approving time off requests.

Show radius circle on map based on time clock setting

Enhancements

When you restrict your employees' clock-in location, a radius circle will appear on the map (visible under Schedules or Job Sites setting). You can adjust it to ensure the exact location, which is helpful when applying geofencing to a particular schedule or job site.

Auto-detect scheduled breaks setting

Features

Enable this option in your Time Clock settings to automatically subtract the scheduled break time from employee working hours. You can view and verify the auto-detected breaks in Timesheet Audit reports using the View Details link for the timesheet entry.

Finalize pay periods

Enhancements

You can now finalize and unfinalize pay periods in Zoho Shifts. Finalizing pay periods locks timesheets to prevent further edits and preserve payroll integrity, ensuring consistent and compliant payroll even if pay rule or wage configurations change later.

Get a full view of past, current, and future pay periods under payroll setting. Add, edit, or delete pay periods and view their status to tailor payroll management to your organization's needs.

Summary view in Timesheets

Enhancements

Use the new Summary option to get a comprehensive overview of employee timesheet data, including scheduled and worked hours, PTO, absence, and approval status. This helps you quickly approve time entries for each employee, as you can see all the related work hours in one place.

View cost in scheduled hours report

Enhancements

Go beyond shift count and hours—now, you can view the scheduled costs as well. This gives you a clear idea of the overall labor cost for the scheduled hours.

Advanced pay rules
