Will I be able to change my customer’s email address?

Yes, you can change the customer’s email address. If you’ve enabled the portal for that customer then you have to disable the portal for the customer and then try changing the email address. Once changed, send him a portal invitation again using the new email address, using which he can create a password and log back into the portal.
