# How do I add a new mileage rate?

To add a new mileage rate:

*   Go to _Settings_ and select **Preferences**.
*   Under _Purchases_, click **Expenses**.
*   Enter the new mileage rate by filling the _Start Date_ and _Mileage Rate_ fields under the _Mileage Rates_ section.

*   Click **+** **Add Mileage Rate** to add another mileage rate.
*   Click **Save**.
