# How do I add a new mileage rate?

To add a new mileage rate:

*   Go to _Settings_ and click **Expenses**.
*   Under the _Preferences_ tab, enter the new mileage rate by filling the _START DATE_ and _MILEAGE RATE_ text fields under the **Mileage Rates** section.
*   Click **Save**.

**Insight:** You can also add a new mileage rate by clicking the **\+ Add Mileage Rate** option.
