Sales Order Preferences

There are a host of preferences that you can configure for the Sales Order module in Zoho Books.

To configure preferences for the Sales Orders module:

  • Go to Settings on the top right corner of the page.
  • Select Sales Orders under Sales.

Update Fields of Sales Order in Invoices

When converting your sales order into an invoice, you can retain the following fields from your sales order in your invoice:

  • Address of your organization
  • Customer Notes
  • Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

Enter the Terms and Conditions of your business to be displayed in your sales order.


Notes

Enter any notes of your business that you want to display in your sales order.

After configuring the desired preferences, click Save at the bottom of the page.


Approvals

You can set up approval workflows for sales orders. You can choose from Simple and Multi-Level approval types based on your business requirements. Learn more about Approvals.


Fields

You can create new fields for the Sales Orders module and assign different data types for each of them. Learn more about Fields.


Validation Rules

You can create rules to set restrictions on the data being recorded. Learn more about Validation Rules.


Record Locking

You can lock sales order records to prevent unauthorized changes after they reach a specific status. Learn more about Record Locking.


Statuses

You can create new statuses for the Sales Orders module to track the progress of your sales orders. Learn more about Statuses.


Buttons

You can create new buttons in the Sales Orders module that either execute actions using deluge scripts or open external URLs when clicked. Learn more about Buttons.


You can view data from both the app and third-party services with Related Lists, making it easy to cross-reference information from different sources. Learn more about Related Lists.
