To record a transaction: * Go to _Sales_ on the left sidebar and select **Customers** (for customers) or go to _Purchases_ on the left sidebar and select **Vendors** (for vendors). * Select the customer/vendor for whom you wish to record a transaction. * Click **New Transaction** in the top right corner of the page and select the desired sales/purchase transaction. * Fill in the details in the transaction page and save it. ![Transactions for Customers](/ae/books/help/images/contacts/contact-transaction.png) * * * **Next >** [Customer Information in Transactions](/qa/books/help/contacts/associating-templates.html)
