Import Users

Purpose

Adding users manually is definitely a tedious process for organizations with large employee numbers. You can avoid this by simply importing users into your Zoho People account from any third party application, Zoho Mail and GApps. Follow these simple steps below and import bulk users in less than a minute.

Import users from third party applications

  1. Log in as Administrator.
  2. Click Setup > Users under Users & Permissions > Import.
  3. Click Import User.
  4. Click Browse to select the file to be imported from your computer.
  5. In the Map detailspage, click and select each field drop-down list to map the appropriate fields referring your excel file.
  6. Click Next.
  7. This page shows the fields which are not mapped with any columns. Confirm the mapping and click Import File.
  8. Once the import is done, the records will be automatically be added and can be viewed in the listing page of the Employee form as shown below.

Note:

  • Alternate method to import users: Click Organization > Employee > More Actions > Import data.
  • To import non-user: click Setup > Users under Users & Permissions > Import > Import Non-User.

Import Zoho Mail users

You can import bulk users from Zoho Mail into Zoho People quickly with just a single click.

  1. Log in as Administrator.
  2. Click Setup > Users under Users & Permissions > Import.
  3. Click Import Zoho Mail Users.
  4. All your Zoho Mail users will be listed.
  5. Select specific user or all users.
  6. Click Import and now all of your Zoho Mail users will be imported into Zoho People.

Import GApps users

  1. Log in as Administrator.
  2. Click Setup > Users under Users & Permissions > Import.
  3. Click Import GApps Users.
  4. All your GApps users will be listed.
  5. Select specific user or all users.
  6. Click Import and now all your GApps users will be imported into Zoho People.
