I'm one of the Managers in my organization. Why am I unable to edit few fields in the 'Employee' form of my team member's record.

You should have the 'Field Edit' permission in order to edit the fields of your subordinates' form record. If it's disabled then you cannot edit those fields. Please contact your Super-Administrator or Administrator to enable the 'Field Edit Permission'.

To enable the 'Field Edit' Permission, please follow the steps below.

  1. Log in as Admin.
  2. Go to 'Setup' at the top of the page.
  3. Go to 'Permissions' under 'Users and Permissions'.
  4. Go to 'Form Permissions'.
  5. Under 'Field Permission' click 'Edit Permissions' for the Manager role.
  6. Enable 'Allow Edit' option for the required fields.

Can I restrict role-based employees from importing/exporting specific forms?

Yes, you can restrict 'Action Permissions' for role-based employees. Please follow the steps below to do so.

  1. Log in as Admin.
  2. Go to 'Setup' at the top of the page.
  3. Go to 'Permissions' under 'Users and Permissions'.
  4. Go to 'Form Permissions'.
  5. Under 'Action Permission' click 'Edit Permissions' for the specific role.
  6. Select the form for which you want to block permissions.
  7. You can restrict users from importing, exporting and embedding forms.
  8. Scroll your mouse over the specific action and click the Enable/Disable icon.
  9. Click 'Close'.

Can I restrict role-based employees from viewing and accessing specific features?

Yes, you can restrict 'Global Access Permissions' for role-based employees. Please follow the steps below to do so.

  1. Log in as Admin.
  2. Go to 'Setup' at the top of the page.
  3. Go to 'Permissions' under 'Users and Permissions'.
  4. Go to 'Global Access Permissions'.
  5. Select the role for which you want to assign the global access permission.
  6. Disable the required feature in the given list.

How do I hide the Department tree & Employee tree links for a particular role?

  1. Go to 'Setup' at the top of the page.
  2. Click 'Global Access Permissions' under Users & Permissions.
  3. Select the role type.
  4. Hover your mouse over the specific field and disable(click on the disable button) the department tree and employee tree.
