Migrate From Google Optimize to Zoho PageSense

This article will cover feature terminologies, the steps to configure PageSense's tools, and their corresponding ones with Google Optimize.

Zoho PageSense includes 10+ CRO tools to help you understand your website traffic and customer behavior. You can identify visitor pain points, run website experiments, improve user experiences, and engage with your customers—all with one platform.

Similar to Google Optimize, Zoho PageSense brackets all the CRO tools categorized for every need under one platform.

Experiments

What is called an Experience in Google Optimize is called experiments in PageSense. Unlike Google Optimize, where you can make changes through the Optimize extension from Google, Zoho PageSense offers a built-in visual editor. You can create webpage variations using our drag-and-drop visual editor without typing a single line of code. We also offer a chrome extension where you create and launch A/B test and heat map experiments directly on your website pages, from the Google Chrome browser.

Regarding audience targeting in PageSense, Google Optimizely starts with Traffic allocation, offering two controls for targeting: Who and When and then proceed to set the rule type. In Zoho PageSense, you can allocate the audience percentage for every webpage variation. We offer two kinds of audience segments under the AUDIENCE tab of your experiment: preset segments and custom segments.

Once you're done configuring your experiment, like 'Start' in google optimize, select 'Launch' in Zoho PageSense to run the experiment.

Split URL test

Redirect test in Google Optimize is called a Split URL Test in Zoho PageSense. In split URL testing, webpages will be hosted in different URLs as you can compare the conversion rates of two other web pages.

If you're making minor changes to your webpage, consider running an A/B test. For a complete redesign with many changes, it is best to run a split URL test. Please refer to this document to understand and run Split URL test for your website.

Web Analytics:

Google Analytics is the Analytics property for Google Optimize users. Whereas in Zoho PageSense, we offer you two types of reports: Acquisition and behavior. Acquisition reports are a breakdown of your website traffic channels, and Behaviour reports give you an overview of how users behave on your website.

Goals:

Goals in Zoho PageSense represent objectives in Google Optimize. To measure the webpage performance, choose the goal based on your objectives and specify the URLs of the web pages on which you want to track the goals. Please refer to this document to learn more about the PageSense's goal types and its configurations.

Funnel Analysis:

Google Optimize users can access this feature only via Google analytics. In Zoho PageSense, you can setup funnels without having to integrate with any third party apps. Funnel analysis helps you understand which webpage needs more improvement and visualize how many drop-offs at each step. You start by mapping the steps based on your website visitor's path to conversion. Please refer to this document to set up a funnel for your website.

Heatmap:

A website Heatmap is a colour-coded graphical representation of data that shows what grabs their attention and what distracts them, and a complete overview on visitor engagement. Zoho PageSense offers three types of reports, heatmap, scroll map and attention map. Here's how you can generate and decipher heatmaps for your website.

Form Analytics:

Analyze a visitor's overall journey through the form-filling process. PageSense's Form Analytics offers you two types of reports: form metrics and field metrics. These reports show why and what can be improved to increase submissions and reduce form abandonment. Here's how you can setup form analytics for your website.

Session Recording:

With PageSense, you can record and get a video playback of every visitor interaction with your website to see what your visitors expect, what frustrates them, and which pages they switch between. By default, your visitor's sensitive information will automatically be anonymized on your recording screen. You can mask additional specific elements/interactions to protect your visitor's privacy. Please refer to this document to learn more about PageSense's session recording and its configuration.

PageSense offers tools to run campaigns focusing on engagement and re-targeting. You can start by selecting a pre-built template from our library, editing your content and specifying your target audience.

Polls:

With Polls, you can quickly gather feedback and convert it to actionable insight. With our word clouds and charts, you can see a compilation of all the responses instead of combing through thousands of individual answers. Refer to this help document to create polls for your website.

Push notifications:

Re-target your visitors by triggering relevant and timely notifications to them based on their actions and behavioral pattern even when they are inactive. Refer to this help document to trigger web-push notifications for your website.

Pop-ups:

A 'banner template' in Google optimize is called a 'banner pop-up' in PageSense. Trigger pop-ups, banners or slide-ins when a visitor lands on your website or when a visitor completes a specific action on the webpage. Refer to this help document to launch pop-ups for your website.
