# My users are not able to view the statements of customers/vendors. What should I do?

When you assign a role to a user, you need to enable the option to view the statements. Here’s how you can enable this option:

*   Go to **Settings**.
*   Under _Organisation Settings_, select **Roles** under _Users & Roles_.
*   Hover over the role you want to edit, click the _More_ icon, and select **Edit** from the dropdown.
*   Under _Contacts_, click **More permissions** next to _Customers or Vendors_.
*   Check the **Statement** option, and click **Save**.

Now, your user will be able to view the statements of customers or vendors in their respective details page.
