# Can Metered Billing be enabled for existing subscriptions?

Yes, you will be able to enable Metered Billing for existing subscriptions.

To do so, ensure that metered billing is enabled for your organization, by going to **Settings** > **Preferences** > **Invoice** > **Metered Billing**.

Here’s how to enable metered billing for an existing subscription:

*   Go to the **Subscriptions** module from the left sidebar.
*   Click on the subscription for which you want to enable metered billing.
*   Click the **More** dropdown and select the **Enable Metered** option.

Now, any subscription related charges in the future, will be metered for this subscription. Learn more about [metered billing](/billing/help/settings/metered-billing.html).
