Zoho Books and HMRC: Terms and Conditions

I/We understand
  1. that for the purpose of filing VAT Returns to HMRC through Zoho Books, it is mandatory for Zoho Books to share ‘user audit data’ (listed below) with HMRC to enable HMRC to:
    1. keep your data safe, private and secure
    2. make sure that your data is protected from people looking to use it for fraudulent and criminal purposes
    3. prevent, detect, investigate and prosecute criminal activity
  2. that the following user audit data will be shared to HMRC in connection with my use of Zoho Books:
    1. my/our Public IP address;
    2. my/our device’s public TCP port;
    3. my/our Time zone;
    4. the multi-factor-authentication used in my/our current session;
    5. my/our device’s screen information which includes the width, height, scaling-factor and colour-depth;
    6. my/our device’s window size which includes the width and the height;
    7. my/our device’s JavaScript-reported user agent string;
    8. my/our browser’s Do-no-track configuration.
  3. that the following actions, that I/we perform in Zoho Books, will initiate MTD API calls:
    1. Generating VAT Return
    2. Viewing VAT Return
    3. Finalising VAT Return
    4. Submitting VAT Return
    5. Fetching VAT payments from HMRC
  4. that Zoho Books will maintain the user audit data, shared with HMRC, for future references and for debugging purposes as long as my/our organization account is active;.
  5. that (i) Zoho Books may be required by HMRC to share additional categories of user audit data with HMRC, apart from the user audit data specified under Section 4; and (ii) Zoho Books will notify me/us of such sharing of additional categories of user audit data with HMRC by updating this Terms and Conditions.
