[Back](./) # Can I create a role apart from the default roles? You can create additional roles and configure the level of permissions for that role. Here’s how you can create a custom role: * Go to **Settings**. * Under _Organisation Settings_, select **Roles** under _Users & Roles_. * In this page, click **New Role** on the top right corner. * Select the modules to be configured, and click **More Permissions** for additional permissions. * Once you’ve configured the permissions for the role, click **Save**. The role will be created. When you invite a user into Zoho Books, you can associate this role with them, and they can perform actions based on the permissions you had configured.
