Why should I send my transactions through Peppol?

Peppol (Pan-European Public Procurement Online) is an EU standard that facilitates the exchange of electronic documents such as invoices and credit notes in a structured and machine-readable format.

In Belgium, Peppol e-invoicing is already mandatory for transactions sent to government agencies (B2G). For B2B transactions, VAT registered businesses will be required to send transactions through Peppol starting January 1, 2026 to remain fully compliant with e-invoicing regulations.
