# WebAmigo Extension for Zoho Books

WebAmigo is a data enrichment platform that collects and organizes information from the web to fill in missing contact and company details for businesses.

## How the WebAmigo Extension Works

When creating or editing a customer in Zoho Books, you can use the WebAmigo extension to automatically fill in missing details. Once installed, open the extension from the Widgets pane and enter a customer’s name, website, or email address. WebAmigo searches the web for publicly available information and fills it in automatically. This includes details like addresses, phone numbers, social media profiles, and company information. The data is pulled directly into your Zoho Books records, so you don’t have to look up or copy-paste information from other sources.

## Install the WebAmigo Extension

To install the WebAmigo extension in Zoho Books:

*   Go to **Settings** in the top right corner of the page.
*   Click **Marketplace** under _Integrations & Marketplace_.
*   Search for **WebAmigo** and click **Install**. You’ll be redirected to the extension installation page.
*   In the _Select Organisation_ section:
    *   Choose the Zoho Books organisation where you want to install the extension from the **Organisation** drop-down.
    *   Agree to the terms and conditions of the integration.
    *   Click **Next**.
*   In the **Configure** section, choose users of which roles can access the extension. You can select **All Roles** or **Specific Roles**. If you choose **Specific Roles**, select the roles that can access this extension.
*   Click **Install**. The extension will be installed in your Zoho Books organisation.

## Configure Field Mapping

After installing the WebAmigo extension, you can configure how the fields in WebAmigo map to the fields in Zoho Books. This ensures that the data fetched from WebAmigo is correctly populated in your Zoho Books records. To configure field mapping:

*   Go to **Settings** in the top right corner of the page.
*   Click **Marketplace** under _Integrations & Marketplace_.
*   Click the **Installed Extensions** tab.
*   Click **View details** next to _WebAmigo_.
*   Click **Field Mapping** in the top right corner of the page.
*   In the _Configure Field Mapping_ pop-up, map the fields fetched from WebAmigo to the corresponding fields in Zoho Books.
    *   Mark the checkbox next to a field to include it in the mapping.
    *   Click the dropdown next to the selected field to choose the corresponding Zoho Books field.
*   Click **Map Fields** to save your configuration. The field mapping will be applied whenever you use the WebAmigo extension to fetch customer data in Zoho Books.

## Use the WebAmigo Extension

Once the extension is installed, you can use it to enrich customer data in Zoho Books:

*   Go to _Sales_ on the left sidebar and select **Customers**.
*   Open an existing customer and click **Edit** or create a new one by clicking **+New**.
*   Click **All Sidebar Extensions** from the _Widgets_ pane on the right.
*   Click **Auto-Fill Company Data**.
*   Enter the customer’s **Website**, **Email Address**, or **Company Name**.

*   Click **Fetch Details** to populate the customer data from WebAmigo into Zoho Books.
*   Review the fetched data, select which fields to apply to your customer record, and click **Apply**.

*   The selected fields will be updated in your Zoho Books customer record. Click **Save** to save the changes.

## Uninstall the WebAmigo Extension

To uninstall the WebAmigo extension from Zoho Books:

*   Go to **Settings** in the top right corner of the page.
*   Click **Marketplace** under _Integrations & Marketplace_.
*   Click the **Installed Extensions** tab.
*   Click **View details** next to _WebAmigo_.
*   Click **Uninstall** in the top right corner of the page.
*   Click **Yes** in the confirmation pop-up.

The extension will be uninstalled from your Zoho Books organisation.
