# My organization only has branches. How will migrating to locations affect it?

Once you migrate from Branches to Locations, all existing branches will be automatically updated as _Business Locations_. The Primary Branch will become the _Primary Location_. In all existing transactions, the branch will be automatically replaced by the corresponding business location. The business location of the transaction will be applied as the warehouse location for the line items. Any previously configured automations, such as workflows or custom functions involving branches, must be reconfigured after migrating to the _Locations_ feature.
