Salary Templates
Create templates for commonly used salary structures and save time and effort. Instead of manually entering the salary details for employees having the same salary structure, you can create a common salary template and assign them to employees. For instance, you can create a template for all freshers and easily assign it to them when you add them to your employee list.
Create Salary Templates
Here’s how you can create a salary template:
- Go to Settings on the left sidebar.

Click Settings in the top right corner of the page. - Click Salary Templates under Customization.
- Click Create New in the top right corner.
- Enter the Template Name and Description.
- Enter the Annual Cost to Company (CTC) for this template.
- You can add Earnings, Deductions, Reimbursements, Benefits, FBP Components, and One Time Earnings to the template by clicking the + icon next to the respective component.
You can now associate templates to employee when you add them from the Employee module.
Edit Salary Template
Here’s how you can edit a salary template:
- Go to Settings on the left sidebar.

Click Settings in the top right corner of the page. - Click Salary Templates under Customization.
- Hover over the salary template you want to edit and click the More icon.
- Click Edit.
- Make the necessary changes and click Save.
Clone a Salary Template
Here’s how you can clone a salary template:
- Go to Settings on the left sidebar.

Click Settings in the top right corner of the page. - Click Salary Templates under Customization.
- Hover over the salary template you want to clone and click the More icon.
- Click Clone.
- If there’s any changes you’d like to make, make the necessary changes and click Save.
Dissociate Employees from a Salary Template
Here’s how you can dissociate employees from a salary template:
- Go to Settings on the left sidebar.

Click Settings in the top right corner of the page. - Click Salary Templates under Customization.
- Hover over the salary template you want to dissociate employees from and click the More icon.
- Click Dissociate Employees.
- Click Proceed in the pop-up.
The employees will no longer be associated to this salary template. However, the employee’s salary details will remain the same unless you edit them or associate a new salary template.
Mark a Salary Template as Inactive
Here’s how you can mark a salary template as inactive;
- Go to Settings on the left sidebar.

Click Settings in the top right corner of the page. - Click Salary Templates under Customization.
- Hover over the salary template you want to mark as inactive and click the More icon.
- Click Mark as Inactive.
The template will be inactive and you wont be able to associate it to your employees.
Mark an Inactive Salary Template as Active
Here’s how you can mark an inactive salary template as active:
- Go to Settings on the left sidebar.

Click Settings in the top right corner of the page. - Click Salary Templates under Customization.
- Hover over the salary template you want to mark as active and click the More icon.
- Click Mark as Active.
You can now associate this template to your employees.
Delete Salary Template
Here’s how you can delete a salary template:
- Go to Settings on the left sidebar.

Click Settings in the top right corner of the page. - Click Salary Templates under Customization.
- Hover over the salary template you want to delete and click the More icon.
- Click Delete.
- Confirm your action by clicking Yes in the pop-up.
