Leave and Attendance Regularisation Requests

In Zoho Payroll, managing approvals can be done through the Zoho Payroll app and it’s employee portal, catering to different user roles and permissions.

In the Zoho Payroll app, users with administrative or managerial permissions can manage a broad range of approvals. This includes reviewing and approving leave requests and attendance regularization requests for both direct and indirect reportees. This functionality is particularly useful for managers and HR professionals who oversee multiple employees and need to ensure compliance with organizational policies.

In the Zoho Payroll employee portal, however,  employees who have been granted specific permissions can approve or reject requests for their direct reportees. This feature is ideal for team leads or supervisors who need to manage approvals within their immediate team.

Approving Leave Requests

You can review the details of leave requests submitted by employees, including the type of leave, duration, and reason. You can then approve or reject these requests based on the organization’s policies and operational requirements. Here’s how:

  • Navigate to Approvals section on the left sidebar. and select Leave Requests.

Pro Tip You can use the filters to narrow down requests by employee or date.

  • Select a request to view details such as leave dates, leave type, and the reason for leave.
  • Click Approve to approve the request or Reject to decline. If rejecting, provide a reason.

Approving Attendance Regularization Requests

You can also handle requests for attendance regularization, ensuring that employees’ attendance records are accurate. This involves reviewing the corrections requested by employees for their logged hours and making decisions to approve or reject these adjustments. Here’s how:

  • Navigate to Approvals on the left sidebar and select Attendance.

Pro Tip You can use the filters to narrow down requests by employee or date.

  • Select a request to view details such as attendance dates, logged hours, and actual hours.
  • Click Approve to approve the request or Reject to decline. If rejecting, provide a reason.

This approach ensures that approval processes are streamlined and effective across the organization.
