What is a default rate? How do I add a default rate?

A default rate is a mileage rate that is created without specifying a date. This is applied to mileage expenses that are recorded before the initial start date.

To add a default rate:

  1. Switch to Admin View.
  2. Click the icon in the top right corner.
  3. Go to Policies under Users and Control.
  4. Click the policy for which you want to set up a default rate.
  5. Navigate to Mileage.
  6. Click + New Rate and don’t specify a date next to the amount.
  7. Click Save.
