# My user can not file the GST returns despite having the necessary permissions. What could I be missing?

The user should have permission for _Taxes_ and _GST filing_ modules. The admin should follow the below steps to provide access for the user:

*   Navigate to _Settings_ at the top-right corner of the page.
*   Select _**Roles**_ under _Users & Roles_.
*   Click _Edit_ next to the required role.
*   Scroll down to the **Settings** module and enable the checkbox against **Taxes**.
*   Similarly, enable Permission for **GST filing** module.
*   Click **Save**.
