# Will the Workflow rules get executed instantly when the trigger conditions are satisfied?

Workflow rules do not get executed as soon as the trigger criteria are met. Though the execution is not instantaneous, the workflow gets executed only after a transaction is saved and not while creating or updating a transaction.
