Integrate Zoho Billing with SurveyMonkey

Customer feedback is an essential part of business growth and improving customer experience. By integrating Zoho Billing with SurveyMonkey, you can include advanced, customizable surveys directly into your customer emails. SurveyMonkey helps you measure customer satisfaction, identify issues early, and understand customer behavior. It also includes a wide range of analytics and multiple question formats.

Scenario: Sophia Blake, the Operations Lead at Zylker, wants to gather feedback on packaging and delivery quality after each online purchase. She integrates SurveyMonkey with Zoho Billing and adds a post-purchase survey to the Invoice Notification email. This helps her collect instant customer responses and improve order fulfillment.

Integrating with SurveyMonkey allows you to automate customer feedback collection seamlessly and improve your business. You can:

Integrate With SurveyMonkey

Prerequisites: Ensure that your organisation is not integrated with another survey application. You can connect only one survey application at a time.
Note: Only admins will be able to connect or disconnect the integration.

To send and collect feedback from your customers, you will need to integrate your organisation with your SurveyMonkey account.

To integrate your Zoho Billing organisation with SurveyMonkey:

  • Log in to your Zoho Billing organisation.
  • Go to Settings in the top right corner.
  • Select Other Apps under Integrations & Marketplace.
  • Click Connect near SurveyMonkey.

You will be directed to your SurveyMonkey’s login page. You must authenticate using the email ID associated with the SurveyMonkey account if present or create a new SurveyMonkey account. You must then agree to the terms and conditions to proceed.

Once connected, you will be redirected to your Zoho Billing organisation and you will be able to insert surveys into your organisation’s email notifications.

Insert Surveys to Email Notifications

Prerequisites:Only surveys in Open status in SurveyMonkey will be listed in your email notifications. Once you create a survey, make sure you switch to the Collect Responses tab to change your survey’s status from Draft to Open.

Once connected, you will have to insert surveys into email templates. Here’s how:

  • Go to Settings on the top right corner.
  • Select Email Notifications under Customization.
  • Select the email notification under Templates.
  • Click Show Mail Content to view the email template.
  • Click on the more icon and click Insert Survey and then select a survey to add to your email notifications.
  • Click Save.

The survey will be automatically included in your customer emails.

Manage and Track Responses

You can track customer responses in your SurveyMonkey account. Once customers submit their feedback, the responses appear in the survey’s Analyze Results section.

Here’s what you can do in SurveyMonkey:

  • View individual answers.
  • Monitor completion trends.
  • Access summary insights, and more.

Disconnect the Integration

You can disconnect SurveyMonkey at any time if you no longer want to insert surveys into your email templates.

Warning: Disconnecting the integration will not remove the inserted surveys from existing email templates. You will have to edit the template and remove the surveys from the email templates to stop them from being sent to your customers.
Note: Only admins will be able to connect or disconnect the integration.

To disconnect the integration:

  • Log in to your Zoho Billing organisation.
  • Go to Settings in the top right corner.
  • Select Other Apps under Integrations & Marketplace.
  • Click Disconnect near SurveyMonkey.

The integration with SurveyMonkey will be disconnected. 

Note: If any surveys included in the template are deleted or marked inactive in SurveyMonkey, recipients may experience broken links or receive error responses. You must then update your email templates with new surveys.
