# In which cases will an advance invoice or advance payment request not be generated?

An advance invoice or payment request will not be generated in the following cases:

*   The subscription is future dated (not yet in Live status).
*   There are no remaining billing cycles in the subscription.
*   The subscription includes unbilled charges or uses metered billing.
*   The plan is a zero-value or free plan.
