Acknowledgment & Redirects

Direct your respondents to the next step after they submit your form. You can choose to show them a thank you page, redirect them to a form or a website and also add splash messages for your forms.

Thank You Page

Respondents land on a thank you page once they submit a form. You can use this page to provide more information to your respondents using links, tables, etc. You can choose a plain text or a rich text format and customize your thank you page.

Plain Text

To display a simple text message, select the Plain Text radio button and enter text.

Rich Text

To provide useful links, include bullet points, create tables, format text messages, change colors, italicize the text, etc. select the Rich Text radio button. 

  • To provide a link in the Thank You Page for the respondents to add a new response, select Include a link to allow respondents to add another response option.

Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel Tracking

In the Thank You Page, you can add Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel tracking codes to measure every successful form submission as a goal or an event. 

Tracking using Google Analytics

Pre-requisites:

  1. Setup a Destination goal in Google Analytics.
  2. Under Goal details, choose Begins with and enter the Thank You Page URL.
  3. You can also enter a value and path if you wish to assign a monetary value and track the path of your website traffic.

After completing the pre-requisites, in the Tracking Settings popup, enter the Google Analytics ID (Eg.UA-000000-2) in the Tracking ID field.

Once this setup is saved, you can track goals and additional information like campaign source and medium in Google Analytics.

By default, the source/medium will be captured from the Thank You Page URL(Eg.: forms.zohopublic.com). You can also include custom UTM parameters to identify the source and medium from the Thank You Page. 

Tracking using Facebook Pixel

Pre-requisites:

  1. Create a custom conversion in Facebook Pixel under Events Manager.
  2. Add a website event and enter the URL of the Thank You Page.
  3. Name the event, choose a category, and enter a conversion value(optional).

After completing the pre-requisites, in the Tracking Settings popup, enter the Pixel ID(Eg.1234567890).

Once this setup is saved, you can track successful form submissions as events in Facebook Pixel. 

Redirect Options

After every successful form submission, you can redirect your respondents to a form or to a website. 

Redirect to the same form

 Select the Same Form radio button to load the same form after each response has been submitted to collect multiple entries.

Redirect to another form

Select Another Form radio button to redirect the respondents to a different form after a response is submitted.

Search for the form to be redirected in the Form Name and choose where the new form will be displayed from the following:

  • Same Window: The redirected page will open in the current tab.
  • New Window: The redirected page will open in a new tab. The new form might not open if your respondents have a popup blocker enabled on their web browser.
  • Parent Window: The URL opens up in place of the web page in which you've embedded the form.

Map fields to the redirected form

To map the values entered in the fields of the current form to pass them to the redirected form, check the Map fields to redirected form checkbox. A Map Fields pop-up appears. Choose the field alias key under the Redirected Form Field and the field name under the Current Form Field.

Once the fields are mapped, it is represented as, ${zf:formurl}/?Redirected Form Field=${zf:Current Form Field}.                           If you wish to edit the mapping click  icon, to delete all the field mappings click the  icon.

For example, you need the details of the customer and the product purchased in both the Customer Details Form and the Product Service Form. Instead of entering the details repeatedly in both the forms, the data can be prefilled from one form to another.

Note:

  • The forms created by the user can only be used as a redirection form.
  • The shared form of the user or a disabled form cannot be used as a redirection form. If the redirected form is deleted, thank you page will be displayed after the form is submitted.
  • Field alias should be configured for the redirected form.

Redirect to a website

Choose Website to redirect your forms to a website after every form submission is made.

Choose where the form should be displayed from the following:

  • Same Window: The redirected page will open in the current tab.
  • New Window: The redirected page will open in a new tab.
  • Parent Window: The URL opens up in place of the webpage in which you've embedded the form.

Map fields to the redirected website

To pass the values entered from the current form to the website, check the Map fields to redirected website checkbox. It opens an Add Prefill Parameters pop-up. Enter the value to be prefilled in the Prefill Key and choose the field or enter the field manually in the Form Field.

Once the fields are mapped, the representation of the mapping appears as, website URL?Prefill Key=${zf:Form Field}.                 If you wish to edit the mapping click  icon, to delete all the field mappings click the  icon.

For example, you have an inquiry form on your website, and you wish to know which product has been enquired the most. Now when the respondents submit the form, you can pass the product name from the inquiry form to the website by mapping the appropriate field.

Splash Message

When the form gets submitted, this message will be displayed for a few seconds till the thank you page or the redirection page is displayed.
