Coupons - Overview
Coupons are promotional tools used by businesses to offer discounts or special pricing on products or services. They are commonly used to attract new customers, encourage repeat purchases, or drive sales during specific campaigns or periods.
When a coupon is applied, it reduces the invoice value without altering the original price of the product or service. These coupons reduce the invoice value at the time of billing but do not represent revenue on their own. The actual revenue is recognized only after the discounted product is delivered or the service is completed. If a coupon is not applied or expires without being used, it has no financial impact on the business.
