Zoho Checkout lets you stay compliant with Singapore’s GST regulations across all your payment pages. Configure tax rates, manage GST registration details and ensure your transactions meet IRAS-mandated standards seamlessly.
GST Settings
If your business has been registered for GST, you can configure taxes in your Zoho Checkout organization. These taxes will be included when you create payment pages. Here’s how :
- Go to Settings and select Taxes.
- Enter the 10 digit GST Registration Number and Tax Registration Date.
You will have configured GST in your organization.
Tax Rates
The tax rates will be pre-populated based on the different GST tax slabs prescribed by the Government. You cannot edit or delete them. To view them:
Go to Settings and select Taxes.
Navigate to Tax Rates.
You will be able to view the tax rates.
Tax Automation Settings
You can enable tax automation settings to apply the correct tax rates to your transactions automatically. Based on the customer’s location and the item’s tax category, the system accurately determines the applicable GST for item.
Configure the Tax Automation Address Preferences
Based on your business’ tax needs, you can choose if Zoho Checkout should use your customer’s billing address or shipping address to apply tax to the sales transactions.
To configure your Address preferences:
Go to Settings and select Taxes.
Navigate to the Tax Automation Settings.
Under Address preference select Change and choose one of the following:
Use Billing Address
Use Shipping Address
Click Save.
The tax will now be applied to your payment pages based on the address you selected.
Configuring Tax for Items in your Payment Pages
You can configure GST for goods and services while creating or editing a payment page. Here’s how:
- Go to Payment Pages.
- Create a new payment page or click Edit next to an existing one.
- Enter HS code under Product Details.
- Navigate to Tax Information under Configure Page.
- Select Tax Category
Now, the taxes configured will be applied to the payment page you’ve created.
