# What is the purpose of rounding option in price list?

When you create a price list and apply a markdown/markup percentage, it is very likely that this will result in item prices with complex decimal values. Rounding them off to the nearest whole number or the nearest 0.99 (for psychological or strategic pricing) is practical and recommended. This can be done while creating a new price list or while editing an already price list.
