# Can I configure a different subscription number series for different product?

Yes, you can configure a number series for your product, and every subscription that’s created henceforth with a plan from that product will follow the product’s number series. Here’s how:

*   Go to **Plans** under _Product Catalog_.
*   Navigate to the _Products_ tab.
*   Select a product or click **\+ New** to create a new product.
*   Click **Edit**.
*   Mark **Auto-generate Product Numbers**.
*   Enter a **Prefix** and **Next Number**.
*   Click **Save**.

The Prefix that you enter will remain constant. However, the Next Number will be incremented by 1 for every subsequent subscription. For example, if your Prefix is Pro and your Next Number is 0001, the subscription numbers would look like: Pro-0001, Pro-0002, Pro-003 and so on.

**Note**: If you enable number auto-generation for this product, the subscription number auto-generation, which you’ve configured in Settings will be overridden. Instead, this product’s number auto-generation will be used for new subscriptions that are created with this product.
