# How can I Write Off an Invoice?

The invoice needs to be written off when you are sure that the customer is not going to pay and you need to close the invoice.

To Write Off an Invoice in Zoho Billing,

*   Navigate to the **Invoices** module and select the invoice that you want to write off.
*   Click the **Record Payment** dropdown and select **Write Off**.
