# How do I add custom fields to invoices?

To add Custom fields to an invoice,

*   Go to _Settings_.
*   Select **Invoices** under _Sales_.
*   Navigate to **Field Customization** and click **\+ New Custom Field**.
*   Enter the _Label Name_ and select _Data Type_.
*   You can choose to make the custom field mandatory and display it on the PDF based on your preferences.
*   Click **Save**.
