Enable GST Settings in Zoho POS

If your business is registered for GST, you can enable GST settings in Zoho POS. This lets you define tax rates, default tax preferences, and exemptions.

To enable GST settings

Go to Settings > Taxes.

Click the GST Settings tab.

Click Yes.

Enter the GSTIN number.

Select the date of registration for GST in the GST registered on field.

Click the Composition Scheme checkbox if applicable and select the Composition Scheme Percentage.

Select Reverse Charge if applicable.

Select Digital Services to track sales of digital services for overseas customers.

Click Save.

Tax Rates

Once GST is enabled, all the common tax rates will be automatically added. You can choose to modify or add new tax rates if needed.

To create tax rates

Go to Settings > Taxes and select the Tax Rates tab.

Click + New Tax.

Enter the Tax Name and specify the Rate.

Select the Tax Type from the drop-down list and click Save.

Edit Tax Rates

To edit tax rates

Go to Settings > Taxes and select the Tax Rates tab.

Hover over the Tax Rate and click Edit.

Modify the Tax Name, Rate, or Tax Type and click Save.

Note

The system generated tax can't be edited.

Delete Tax Rates

Go to Settings > Taxes and select the Tax Rates tab.

Hover over the Tax Rate and click Delete.

Click Ok in the popup.
