How do I know when to enter an opening balance in Zoho ERP?

Opening Balance is not manually entered until you’re a new business signing into Zoho ERP. The debit or credit balance of an account that we get at the end of an accounting period is known as the closing balance of that account. This is automatically carried forward as opening balance for the next accounting period.
