How do I whitelist URLs included in SMS notifications?

Prerequisite: This is applicable only if you’ve registered as an enterprise with your DLT operator.

Zoho ERP uses shortened URLs when sending SMS notifications to your customers. According to TRAI regulations, it is mandatory to whitelist URLs included in your SMS notifications. If not, TRAI might block your SMS notifications, and you may also be charged for it.

To whitelist URLs:

  • Visit your DLT operator’s website and navigate to the CTA Whitelisting section.

  • Select URL as the CTA Type and Short Domain/URL as the Link Type.

  • Provide the following details:

  • Select https in the Protocol field.

  • Enter zspay.co as the Short Domain.

  • Select the required header.

  • Click Submit.

If required for your business, you must whitelist the long or dynamic URLs to comply with TRAI regulations. Here’s how:

  • In your Zoho ERP organisation, select the required transaction for which you want to whitelist the URL included.

  • In the transaction’s Details page, click Share at the top.

  • In the pop-up that appears, click Generate Link. A link will be generated.

  • Click Copy Link.

  • Visit your DLT operator’s website and navigate to CTA Whitelisting.

  • Select URL as the CTA Type and Long Domain/URL as the Link Type.

  • Enter the static part of the copied URL. You can also provide the link in the Sample URL field.

  • Click Save.

Similarly, repeat the process for all transactions in which the URLs must be whitelisted.

Notes:

  • For the Payment Links module, the shortened link will already be generated. In that case, you can paste the link in a browser and copy the long URL that appears. The part of the URL before the question mark (?) is the static part, while the rest is dynamic.
  • It might take a while for the URLs to be whitelisted. You can check the status in the DLT operator’s website. Once whitelisted, you can proceed to send notifications using the shortened URLs.
