Why are items not shown when I export invoices as PDF?
If you are using non-English characters (like Chinese) in your invoice, ensure that the template you’re using supports these characters for them to be displayed when you export or print the invoice. This way, they’ll be displayed properly when you print the invoice or export it as a PDF. To opt for a template that supports non-English characters:
- Click the Gear icon in the top right corner.
- Navigate to Organization Settings.
- Select PDF Templates under Customisation.
- In the Templates sidebar, select Invoices.
- Hover over an existing template and click Edit to modify it.
- In the Edit Template page, go to General section in the left side bar.
- Navigate to Font.
- Select your preferred font from the PDF Font dropdown.
- Each font will be displayed along with the language/languages it supports, helping you pick the right one.
- Click Refresh Preview to check if the items are displayed on your invoice’s template properly. Once previewed, click Save in the top right corner of the page.
