What can we create in the Composite Items module?

A Composite item in Zoho erp is a single commodity that is composed of two or more items and/or services. With composite items you can:

Create kits and sell them for customized rates.
Perform assemblies to create finished goods.

Let’s run through one of many scenarios in which the composite item feature comes in handy.

Scenario: Sam runs a gifting business where he sells curated gift packs during festive seasons. To prepare these gift packs, he first assembles a finished product by combining raw materials using the Assembly feature in Zoho ERP. For example, he assembles a customized electric kettle by bundling its components and the labor cost involved in assembling it. Once the finished product is ready, Sam uses Kit Items to create a gift kit that includes the assembled product along with complementary items such as gift wraps, greeting cards, and discount coupons. He then sells this kit as a single item.
