Functions in Locations
Once you’ve created locations, associated transaction series, and added users, you can start associating locations with transactions. Let’s explore how you can do this in Zoho ERP:
Associate Locations to Transactions
You can associate locations with all your sales transactions, purchase transactions, manual journals, bank transactions, and e-Way bills. Let’s look at an example of how you can associate a location to an invoice:
- Go to Sales on the left sidebar.
- Click Invoices at the top of the page, then select Invoices from the dropdown.
- Click + New.
- Select the Customer Name
- Select the Location, and Invoice Date.
- The Invoice # will be auto-generated. You can also manually generate them by clicking the Gear icon.
- Enter the other necessary details.
- Click Save as Draft to save the invoice as a draft, or click Save and Send to send it to your customer.
Similarly, you will be able to create transactions and associate locations with other modules as well.
Associate Users to Locations
You can associate users with locations. Only the users that you associate with a location will have access to the transactions of that location. Here’s how you can do it:
- Go to Settings.
- Navigate to Organization Settings.
- Select Locations under Organization.
- Edit or create a new location.
- In the Location Access field, Select users that you want to associate with the location from the dropdown. You can check the Provide access to all users option to associate all users to the location.
Note: To remove a user from a location, in the Location Access field, hover over the user and click the Bin icon.
Note: You can also associate a user with a location from Users and Roles in Settings. To do this, go to Settings > Users and Roles > Users. Select a user, then click the Edit icon, select the locations you want to associate with the user, and click Save.
