Work Center Timings

Work Center Timings define the working days and operating hours of a work center. It helps to plan and allocate manufacturing operations by ensuring that jobs are scheduled only during available working hours, improving capacity planning and production efficiency.

Create Work Timing

To add a new work timing,

  • Click the Gear icon in the top-right corner of the home page.
  • Scroll down to Module Settings.
  • Under Manufacturing, click Work Schedules.
  • Click +New Work Center Timing in the top right corner.
  • Enter the Name for the Work Timing.
  • Select either of your configuration option.
  • You can also configure Break for the work timings.

Work Calendar

A Work Calendar defines the working days, holidays, and working hours used to schedule manufacturing operations. If you have selected Standard as configuration option,

  • Customise your Work Calendar by selecting the days that should be treated as working days for each week.
  • Any unselected day in a week will be considered as holiday.
  • Click Mark as Weekend to mark specific day/s as weekends for the month.

Pro Tip: Select All to mark every week in the month as a working week in one go.

Schedule Timing

  • Enter the Schedule Timings for each day by specifying the Check In, Check Out and Lunch time.
  • The system automatically calculates the Total Hours based on the check in and check out times.
  • You can also mark a day as a weekend here. If you want to change it back to a working day, click Mark as Working Day.

Configure Week 1 and Week 2

If you select Custom as your work scheduling option,

  • You’ll need to manually enter the Check In, Check Out time, and Lunch duration. The Total Hours will be calculated automatically for each day.

  • Week 1 applies to odd weeks of the month (Week 1 and Week 3).

  • Week 2 applies to even weeks of the month (Week 2 and Week 4). Once configured, the schedule repeats accordingly throughout the month.

Configure Break

  • To add additional breaks, click Configure Break in the right corner.
    Click + Add Break, enter the break name, and click Save
  • To delete a break, click the Trash icon next to it.
  • Click Save to apply the changes.

Note: You can add up to three breaks for a work schedule.

Other Actions

Edit

You can update or modify the details of an existing work center timing.

To edit an existing work center timing:

  • Click the Gear icon in the top-right corner of the home page.
  • Scroll down to Module Settings.
  • Under Manufacturing, click Work Center Timings.
  • Click the More icon under the Actions column for the work center you want to edit.
  • Select Edit.
  • Make the required changes and click Save.

Delete

You can delete an existing work center timing which is no longer needed.

To delete an existing work center timing:

  • Click the Gear icon in the top-right corner of the home page.
  • Scroll down to Module Settings.
  • Under Manufacturing, click Work Center Timings.
  • Click the More icon under the Actions column for the work center you want to delete.
  • Select Delete.
  • Confirm your action by clicking Delete in the confirmation pop-up.
