Transfer Order Configuration

Transfer Order configurations allow you to define how Zoho ERP calculates and displays the cost price of items when they are transferred between locations. These settings help ensure accurate inventory valuation and internal cost tracking.

To configure the Transfer Order module,

  • Click the Gear icon in the top-right corner of the home page.
  • Navigate to Module Settings.
  • Click Transfer Orders under Inventory.
  • Under the General tab, you can view the below options.

Choose how you want Zoho ERP to calculate an item’s cost price in transfer orders.

Cost Price Preference

Insight:

  • If the source and destination locations have the same GSTIN, the cost price of the item will be taken from the most recent transaction associated with the destination location.
  • If the selected locations have different GSTINs, the cost price of the item will be taken from the item’s default cost price.

  • Cost Price – Select this option to calculate the cost price based on the GSTIN of the selected locations.

    • Enable Show Cost Price in Transfer Orders to display the calculated cost price in the transfer order.

  • Average Price – The average cost price of an item will be calculated based on the source location and used in transfer orders.

Note: If you select Average Price, Zoho ERP will not display the cost price in transfer orders.

Location Preference

You can set a preferred location from which users can create transfer orders.

  • Click the dropdown under Location Preference and select any of your prerference,

    • All Locations – Users can create transfer orders from any location in the organization, without any restriction.
    • Only Accessible Locations – Users can create transfer orders only from the locations they have permission to access, based on their role or location access.
    • All Source Locations – Users can create transfer orders from any location set as a source, but cannot initiate transfers from destination-only locations.
    • All Destination Locations – Users can create transfer orders only to locations marked as destinations, ensuring transfers go into valid destination locations.

  • Once done, click Save.
