Manage Sessions

Managing sessions involves opening a session before billing, monitoring session activity, and closing the session after reconciliation.

View Session Details

To view session details:

  • Go to Sales Channel on the left sidebar.
  • Click Retail Store from the Modules bar and select Sessions from the drop down.
  • Click a session from the list.

The session details page displays:

Session Overview

FieldDescription
Register NameThe register used for the session
Opened OnDate, time, and user who opened the session
Closed OnDate, time, and user who closed the session (if closed)
Net SalesTotal net sales recorded during the session

Click View Breakdown to see gross sales and refunds.


Cash Flow Summary

The Cash Flow Summary shows how cash moved during the session:

This summary helps identify discrepancies during reconciliation.


Close a Session

Closing a session finalizes sales and cash tracking for the register.

To close a session:

  • Open the active session.
  • Click Close Session in the top right corner.
  • Review the cash flow summary.
  • Enter the Physical Cash Counted.
  • Review the Difference.
  • Click Submit for Approval or Close Session, based on your approval settings.

Insight: If there is a difference between expected and physical cash, you can record a Cash In or Cash Out transaction to adjust the discrepancy before closing.

Warning: Closing a session will interrupt any ongoing sale on the register.


Filter Sessions

You can filter sessions to quickly locate records for reconciliation or audits.

  • Go to Sales Channel on the left sidebar.
  • Click Retail Store from the Modules bar and select Sessions.
  • Click Register or Opened By at the top and select the required filter.
