Manage Sessions
Managing sessions involves opening a session before billing, monitoring session activity, and closing the session after reconciliation.
View Session Details
To view session details:
- Go to Sales Channel on the left sidebar.
- Click Retail Store from the Modules bar and select Sessions from the drop down.
- Click a session from the list.
The session details page displays:
Session Overview
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Register Name | The register used for the session |
| Opened On | Date, time, and user who opened the session |
| Closed On | Date, time, and user who closed the session (if closed) |
| Net Sales | Total net sales recorded during the session |
Click View Breakdown to see gross sales and refunds.
Cash Flow Summary
The Cash Flow Summary shows how cash moved during the session:

| Cash Refunds | Cash returned to customers |
| Cash In | Additional cash added during the session |
| Cash Out | Cash withdrawn during the session |
| Total Expected Cash | System-calculated cash balance |
| Physical Cash Counted | Actual cash counted during closure |
| Difference | Variance between expected and physical cash |
This summary helps identify discrepancies during reconciliation.
Close a Session
Closing a session finalizes sales and cash tracking for the register.
To close a session:
- Open the active session.
- Click Close Session in the top right corner.
- Review the cash flow summary.
- Enter the Physical Cash Counted.
- Review the Difference.
- Click Submit for Approval or Close Session, based on your approval settings.
Insight: If there is a difference between expected and physical cash, you can record a Cash In or Cash Out transaction to adjust the discrepancy before closing.
Warning: Closing a session will interrupt any ongoing sale on the register.
Filter Sessions
You can filter sessions to quickly locate records for reconciliation or audits.
- Go to Sales Channel on the left sidebar.
- Click Retail Store from the Modules bar and select Sessions.
- Click Register or Opened By at the top and select the required filter.
