Quality Inspector
Quality Inspectors are responsible for executing and validating quality inspections in Zoho ERP. They perform inspections on manufactured and purchased items based on defined Quality Rules and Quality Templates, record inspection results, and determine pass or fail outcomes using allowed failure thresholds.
By accurately capturing inspection data and providing remarks where required, Quality Inspectors ensure that quality standards are consistently enforced before items are completed or added to inventory.
Create Quality Inspector
Here’s how you can create a Quality Inspector:
- Go to People in the left side bar.
- Click Quality Inspectors at the top.
- Click + New and fill in required details in the Quality Inspectors page.
- Fill in the following details in the New Quality Inspector page.
- Name: Enter the name of your inspector
- Email: Enter the email ID of your inspector to invite and get notifications about the inspections assigned under them.
- Mobile: Enter the mobile number to contact your Quality Inspector.
- Quality Inspector Number: Enter the unique number for your Quality Inspector.
Pro tip: You can choose the quality inspector number to be generated automatically along with customised prefixes or by entering manually in Configure Quality Inspector Number Preferences.
- Click Save.
Clone Quality Inspector
You can clone a quality inspector if you want to create an inspector with the similar criteria. Here’s how:
- Go to People in the left side bar.
- Click Quality Inspectors at the top.
- Click the dropdown to the right of an existing quality inspector in the list view page.
- Click Clone from the dropdown.
- Review and fill in the details in the New Quality Inspector page.
- Click Save.
Delete Quality Inspector
You can delete a quality inspector if you don’t need one permanently. Here’s how:
- Go to People in the left side bar.
- Click Quality Inspectors at the top.
- Click the dropdown to the right of an existing quality inspector in the list view page.
- Click Delete from the dropdown.
Warning: You cannot retrieve a quality inspector after deleting them.
- Click Delete it in the popup to confirm.
Refresh List
Here’s how you can refresh the customizations made to the list page of the Quality Inspector module:
- Go to People in the left side bar.
- Click Quality Inspectors at the top.
- Click the More icon in the top right corner of the page.
- Click Refresh List.
